Jill AND Mary

Jillian Noel Shennessy, born November 25, 1968, in Canada is a Canadian performer and actress who was recognized for her significant contributions in American television. She was the main character in the American TV series Law & Order, where she played the role of prosecutor Claire Kincaid for three years. In Crossing Jordan she played Jordan Cavanaugh in six seasons. Hennessy is also well-known for her exceptional performances in RoboCop 3 Most Wanted. The other films she has appeared in include Chutney Popcorn (an independent film) as well as The Acting Class. The acting career of Hennessy began in 1988 when she along with her twin sister were the Callgirls on Dead Ringers. In the year 1990, she made an appearance in a short stint on Broadway in the role of Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story. Then, she moved to sci-fi, and portrayed Dr. Marie Lazarus (RoboCop 3) in 1993. In the same year, she was promoted to the assistant district attorney Claire Kincaid in the hit NBC Crime Drama Law & Order. Parker has been in many films and shows, including RED Fried Green Tomatoes Boys from the Side West Wing Angels and Angels in America. As a result of these roles she was awarded a Golden Globe Award in 2006 as well as an Emmy Award in 2007. Parker received an award in 2001, the Tony Award as Best Actress in the Broadway production Proof.
