Milana

Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub is an American comedian, actor, and activist. Her parents were Jewish parents from the Soviet Union and started her career as a child actor after she immigrated to the United States. She is most famous for her appearances in AT&T commercials on television. In these commercials, she was Lily Adams (2013 to 2016) and 2020 (since 2020 (since). In addition to commercial appearances, she also appeared as a series regular on the Yahoo! Screen science-fiction comedy Other Space (2015). She also played a recurring role as a character on the NBC drama This Is Us (2016)-2017. Vayntrub has also been the voice of Squirrel girl in Marvel Rising since 2018, following her appearance in the unaired television pilot New Warriors. Vayntrub was born in Tashkent, Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic, USSR, and is Jewish. Her parents and her were exiled from antisemitism as young as two years old. They emigrated to the U.S. with their children. Due to the family's financial difficulties the actress began appearing in Mattel Barbie commercials as a five-year-old. Vayntrub was a student at Beverly Hills High School briefly and then was kicked out of the school after her sophomore year. She then obtained a GED, and earned the Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication at University of California, San Diego. She was a part of the Upright Citizens Brigade, and studied improv comedy.
